Thrombin (Factor IIa) is the final enzyme in the blood coagulation cascade, where it plays roles in both the fibrin deposition and platelet activation.
Heparin (UFH and LMW-H) inhibit blood coagulation by binding to Antithrombin (AT). The AT-heparin complex inhibits Factor Ila.
