APPLICATION

The Kinetochrome heparin test kits measure the IIa and Xa activity of heparin, LMW heparin and Enoxaparin Sodium in buffer rather than plasma.

DESCRIPTION

Ideally suited to pharmaceutical applications like quality control, medical device R&D, analytical laboratory uses and test adaptations for heparin-coated devices.

We supply the kits with easy-to-use automated or manual test protocols. Applications are available for all principal haemostasis instruments.

    IIA KITS Summary and principle

    Thrombin (Factor IIa) is the final enzyme in the blood coagulation cascade, where it plays roles in both the fibrin deposition and platelet activation.

    Heparin (UFH and LMW-H) inhibit blood coagulation by binding to Antithrombin (AT). The AT-heparin complex inhibits Factor Ila.
